Background The Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter is an open-admission agency of Cuyahoga County government, serving the County Executive, County Council, and residents. The Shelter provides humane care, control, treatment, and adoption for stray and abandoned dogs. It aims to protect the health, safety, and welfare of both people and dogs through law enforcement and community relations. Due to an increase in stray and abandoned dogs, there is a pressing need for spay/neuter surgeries and rabies vaccinations in a timely manner. Work Details The contractor will provide spay/neuter services and rabies vaccinations for up to ten (10) dogs on three Mondays each month. Services include: - Transporting dogs from the Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter to a stationary clinic with a licensed veterinarian. - Performing routine spay/neuter surgeries and administering rabies shots as deemed necessary by the Animal Shelter staff. - Providing a transport van equipped with a licensed driver, heating/air conditioning, and secure cages for safe transport. - All surgeries must be accompanied by a detailed work order slip indicating the services performed per dog. - Vendor must arrive at the shelter by 8:30 A.M. and return dogs no later than 4:30 P.M. on service days. Period of Performance The contract will be performed over a period of one year. Place of Performance Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter, located at 9500 Sweet Valley Drive, Valley View, Ohio 44125. Bidder Requirements The vendor must bid on all services as this Purchase Order will not be split. Quotations must include all fuel charges with no supplementary charges permitted. Services will not be provided on Saturdays, Sundays, or legal holidays.
