Work Details The contractor will be responsible for a variety of construction tasks including: - mobilization and preparatory work; - backup station service; - miscellaneous sitework; - demolition; - stripping; - excavation for substation site and access road; - embankments; - installation of standard chain link fence; - gravel surfacing; - seeding; - concrete foundations for station equipment and transmission line structures; - cable trenches; - steel structures (welded galvanized); - installation of government-furnished power circuit breakers, disconnecting switches, coupling capacitor voltage transformers, station service voltage transformers, surge arresters, automatic transfer switches, AC and DC distribution boards, grounding systems, electrical conduit systems, outdoor bus systems, associated electrical equipment and materials; - control cables (furnishing and installing); - vertical switchboard sections (government-furnished); - station battery systems (government-furnished); - communication towers (government-furnished); - communications batteries and chargers (furnishing and installing); - fiber optic cables (furnishing and installing). Period of Performance The contractor shall begin performance within 10 calendar days after receiving the notice to proceed and complete all work within 360 calendar days.
