Background Cobb County is soliciting bids from qualified vendors to provide Equipment Outfitting Services for Public Safety Vehicles. The goal of this contract is to install, remove, and transfer special equipment into, from, and between public safety vehicles. This initiative is part of the Cobb County Department of Public Safety's efforts to enhance their operational capabilities. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for the following services: 1) Installation of special equipment into public safety vehicles; 2) Removal and transfer of existing equipment between vehicles; 3) Sale of emergency vehicle equipment; 4) Provision of complete vehicle equipment packages with installation. All work must adhere to the specifications outlined in the solicitation documents. Period of Performance The contract will commence upon award and will last for a period of 12 months. There is an option to extend the contract for up to two additional one-year periods, not exceeding a total of three years. Place of Performance The services will be performed at 1828 West Oak Parkway, Marietta, Georgia, 30062. Bidder Requirements Bidders must possess a valid Cobb County occupation tax certificate if maintaining an office within Cobb County. Additionally, all general contractors must have a current valid license from the State Licensing Board for Residential and General Contractors unless exempted by Georgia law. Bidders are required to maintain various insurance coverages including Commercial General Liability, Workers’ Compensation, Employer’s Liability, and others as specified in the solicitation.
