Background

The project is issued by the Forest Service for the Big Smoky Administrative Site located in the Sawtooth National Forest, Idaho. The goal of the contract is to repair and reconstruct the existing sanitary sewer collection system to ensure its long-term functionality and compliance with environmental standards. This notice serves as an opportunity for vendors to assess the project site before inclement weather or seasonal closures, prior to the issuance of a full solicitation. Work Details: The work includes: 1) Removing existing sewage and sludge from two sewage lagoons to facilitate the installation of new membrane liners; 2) Replacing existing valves, piping, and other structures as needed to maintain long-term system function; 3) Constructing a new perimeter fence around the sewage lagoon site to prevent wildlife and unauthorized entry; 4) Reconstructing the existing RV Dump Station; 5) Pulverizing the existing asphalt access roadway to create a smooth/uniform aggregate surface; 6) Performing miscellaneous improvements necessary to complete the project.
