Background The contract is issued for the disposal of fire fighting foam waste by a government agency. The agency's mission includes ensuring safe and compliant disposal of hazardous materials, specifically targeting the removal of fire suppressant foam concentrates from their facilities. The goal of this contract is to manage and dispose of these materials in accordance with applicable government regulations. Work Details The contractor will remove and dispose of forty (40) 5-gallon containers of either Phos-Check Class A Foam Concentrate or Fire-TROL Fire Foam 103. The contractor is responsible for preparing a waste disposal profile, creating the necessary shipping papers (including hazardous waste manifest and bill of lading), transferring the foam into a separate DOT-approved tank (approximately 250 gallons), and transporting it to a government-approved facility for ultimate disposal. All work must comply with applicable government regulations. Period of Performance Field work must be completed within 45 working days after the execution of the agreement. Work hours are scheduled between 07:00 and 16:00, Monday through Friday, excluding weekends and holidays. Place of Performance The work will be performed at 4398 Pua Loke Rd, Lihue, HI 96766. Bidder Requirements The winning bidder must provide necessary labor, equipment, and materials for the project. The state will provide a forklift and operator to assist with loading. Additionally, all materials must be pre-packaged by the client into DOT specification containers that are in sound integrity.
