Background

The U.S. Coast Guard is seeking sources capable of providing drydock repairs for the USCGC COBIA (WPB-87331), which is home ported in Panama City, FL. The goal of this contract is to ensure the vessel's operational readiness through necessary maintenance and repair work.

Work Details

The scope of work includes a variety of tasks aimed at maintaining and repairing the USCGC COBIA. Specific work items include: - Structural Analysis, 3D Laser Scan - Hull Plating (Side Scan) with Ultrasonic Testing

Ultrasonic Thickness Measurements

- Preservation of the underwater body and hull plating freeboard - Cleaning and inspecting various tanks including dirty oil, oily water, and MP fuel service tanks - Preservation of decks and superstructure - Renewal of components such as capastic fairing, depth sounder, watertight closures, propulsion shaft bearings, propellers, and more. Additional tasks involve thermographic inspection of the electrical power distribution system, cleaning and inspecting ventilation systems, performing maintenance on sea water systems, renewing sewage holding tanks and piping, and modifying HVAC components. The contractor will also provide temporary services for the cutter and support during sea trials.

Period of Performance

The anticipated period of performance is 64 calendar days starting from April 21, 2026, to June 24, 2026.

Place of Performance

All work will be performed at the contractor's facility with no geographical restrictions specified for this cutter.
