Work Details

The contractor will provide Emergent First Fill and Emergency pharmaceutical benefits management products and services as follows: 1. Prescriptions may only be filled from authorized VA providers. 2. Only new prescriptions shall be filled, with refills requiring pre-authorization. 3. Services will be available Monday through Sunday, including federal holidays, from 0000hrs to 2400hrs daily. 4. An after-hours contact must be provided for emergencies or non-formulary approvals. 5. An emergent enrollment process will assist patients and pharmacies 24/7 throughout the year. 6. Prescriptions must be filled in written form by authorized providers and identified with the respective CBOC or VAMC location. 7. Prescription fills are limited to a maximum of a ten-day supply unless pre-authorized otherwise. 8. Only legend drugs on the authorized Emergency Medication Formulary List will be dispensed, with mechanisms in place to prevent unauthorized medications from being dispensed without prior approval.

Period of Performance

The contract period of performance is from January 23, 2026, to January 24, 2031, including a base period and four ordering periods.

Place of Performance

The services will be performed at various locations within VISN 8, including Bay Pines, Tampa, Orlando, North Florida/South Georgia, Miami, West Palm Beach, San Juan PR, and the Clinical Contact Center in Tampa FL.
