Background The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) #54-DM-30734 to procure Aluminum Box Culverts with Headwalls and Aluminum Structural Plate Pipe Arches with Headwalls for Division 8 Bridge Maintenance. The current structures are in poor condition and require replacement. This solicitation aims to award an Agency Specific Contract for a one-time purchase. Work Details The contract involves the furnishing, delivery, and assembly of the following items: 1. Aluminum Box Culvert with Headwalls, 45 LF - #43-L2 (19'-0" span x 6'-1" rise), fully welded inside and out to a 40'-6" wide x 8'-5" high aluminum structural plate headwall on inlet and outlet ends. 2. Aluminum Structural Plate Pipe Arch, 49.5 LF - 10'-3" span x 6'-9" rise, fully welded on a 20-degree skew angle to a pre-built 31'-6" wide x 10'-0" high aluminum structural plate headwall on inlet end and outlet end. 3. Two barrels at 54 LF - 12'-3" span x 7'-3" rise aluminum structural plate pipe arch with type II ribs on 27" centers with headwall stub pipes. All structures must conform to the NCDOT's specifications and be inspected by an NCDOT Materials & Test inspector. Period of Performance The vendor must fabricate and make the structures ready for shipment within thirty (30) consecutive calendar days after receipt of the purchase order. Delivery must occur within two (2) consecutive calendar days prior to the agreed assembly date(s). Assembly must be completed within one (1) working day of the agreed assembly date(s). Place of Performance Delivery locations include: - SR 1342-Hulin McDowell Rd., Randolph County; - SR 1448 McIntyre Rd., Richmond County; - Rosser Road South of Henry Oldham, Chatham County. Bidder Requirements Vendors must be registered in good standing as North Carolina vendors through the Electronic Vendor Portal (eVP). They are required to provide a signed statement from the manufacturer confirming authorization to distribute or resell products offered in this IFB. Vendors must comply with HUB participation goals of at least 10% utilization of diverse firms as subcontractors.
