Background The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) to obtain pricing for the provision, delivery, and assembly of Corrugated Pipe with Welded Flanged Joints and Headwalls. This procurement is specifically for Sampson County Bridge Maintenance, addressing a pipe replacement project on Duplin County SR1807 CR Edwards Rd due to a pipe failure that caused washouts and roadway collapse. The intent is to award an Agency Specific Contract for this one-time purchase. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for furnishing, delivering, and assembling Twin Runs of 73" x 55" Arched Aluminum 10-gauge 3 x 1 Corrugated Pipe with welded flanged joints. The specifications include: - Fully welded inside and outside of the pipe with flanges having 7/8" holes (not slotted) and 6" max bolt centers. - Inlet headwall fully welded to two sections of the pipe with two root welds and two finish welds, reinforced with Type 6 Rib. - Outlet headwall similarly constructed as the inlet headwall. - Includes necessary hardware such as wale beams, caps, gaskets, tieback rods, anchors, lugs, inserts, turnbuckles, etc. - All materials must meet or exceed AASHTO material requirements and NCDOT specifications. - Delivery is required within thirty (30) calendar days after receipt of purchase order to Sampson County Bridge Yard in Clinton, NC. Period of Performance The contract performance period begins upon receipt of the purchase order and must be completed within thirty (30) consecutive calendar days for delivery and assembly. Place of Performance Sampson County Bridge Yard, 216 North Blvd., Clinton, NC 28328. Bidder Requirements Vendors must be registered in good standing with North Carolina's Electronic Vendor Portal (eVP). They are required to submit bids electronically through eVP. Vendors must also comply with HUB participation goals by utilizing at least 10% diverse firms as subcontractors. Additionally, vendors must provide proof of authorization from the manufacturer to distribute or resell the products offered.
