The NIH intends to restrict competition in accordance with RFO FAR 12.102(a) and solicit directly from Illumina, Inc in accordance with RFO FAR 12.201-1(c)(2) for maintenance services on their NextSeq 2000 DNA Sequencing System (S/N VH01646). This Presolicitation notice is NOT a Request for Quotation (RFQ)/Solicitation, however all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, quotation, bid, or proposal, as appropriate, which will be considered by the agency. Background The National Institutes of Health (NIH) intends to restrict competition and solicit directly from Illumina, Inc. for maintenance services on their NextSeq 2000 DNA Sequencing System. This contract is essential to support the daily operations of a critical instrument used in genomics research, which generates high-volume sequencing data necessary for ongoing studies. Work Details The maintenance services required include: - Full coverage for parts, labor, and travel; - Reagent replacement due to hardware failures; - One preventive maintenance visit; - Remote technical support available 18 hours a day, 5 days a week; - A two-business-day on-site response target for hardware failures; - Control software and hardware updates; - On-site applications support; - Access to remote monitoring services. The goal is to ensure the NextSeq 2000 system remains operational and supports uninterrupted research activities. Period of Performance The estimated period of performance is from September 3, 2026, to September 2, 2027, with an anticipated need for four additional 12-month option years.
