Summary (Newest Update)

Background The United States Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine Epidemiology Laboratory (Epi Lab) is seeking a contract for an automated immunoassay and molecular testing platform aimed at enhancing diagnostic testing capabilities for warfighter screening. The goal is to establish a five-year cost per test contract that includes instrumentation, automation, middleware software, reagents, consumables, and support for immunological and molecular analysis of various clinical tests. Work Details The contract requires fully automated, integrated platforms capable of high throughput diagnostic testing. Key specifications include: - Immunoassays for HIV-1/HIV-2, Anti-HTLV I/II, HBsAg with automated confirmation, Anti-HBc, Anti-HCV. - Nucleic Acid Amplification Assays for HIV-1/2, Hepatitis B Virus, Hepatitis C Virus. - Projected workload: 30K tests in the first year with a 20% annual increase. - Immunoassay platforms must achieve at least 280 results/hour; Nucleic Acid Amplification platforms must achieve at least 380 results/8-hour shift. - All assays must be FDA approved for donor screening. - Platforms must include features such as bidirectional computer interfaces compatible with DHA MHS GENESIS, continuous specimen loading capability, automatic clot detection, and un-interruptible power supply. - Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for hazardous materials must be provided. - Environmental guidelines for waste disposal are required. - Maintenance and service coverage for water sources if needed. Period of Performance Five years (base year plus four option years). Place of Performance United States Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine Epidemiology Laboratory, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, OH.
