Background The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Shared Services Center is issuing this Request for Quotation (RFQ) for the procurement of a TMD 180 AIRSTART Cart. The goal of this contract is to acquire a spare air start cart for the X-59 Project, as NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center currently has only one TMD-180 air start cart. This procurement is critical to ensure operational readiness and compliance with NASA's quality standards. Work Details The contract requires the delivery of one TMD-180 Air Start Unit with the following specifications: - **Engine Requirements:** - Manufacturer: Cummins - Model: QSX 15 - Type: Direct Injection 4 Cycle Turbo Charged - Rating: 435 bhp - Number of Cylinders: 6 - Speed Idle: 1000 RPM - Speed Max When Loaded: 2100 RPM - EPA Tier/Certification Level: Cummins® US EPA Tier 4F / Stage V - **Compressor Requirements:** - Output: 180 lbs/Min at 68F - Discharge Pressure Max: 42 PSI - Output Connection: Single Hose - Discharge Air Temperature: 390 F nominal. Additionally, compliance with NASA Quality Document Q1-C is required, including a manufacturer's Certificate of Conformance. Warranty requirements include a 24 Month/2000 Hour Warranty.
