Background The University of North Dakota is seeking proposals from Certified Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing (TAB) contractors to provide HVAC Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing services. The goal of this contract is to ensure that all HVAC systems operate efficiently and meet design specifications. This contract will be established as a cooperative purchasing agreement available to institutions under the jurisdiction of the State Board of Higher Education. Work Details The contractor will perform the following services: 1. Air System Balancing: Measure and adjust airflow at diffusers, balance air handling units (AHUs), verify fan performance. 2. Hydronic System Balancing: Measure and adjust water flow in chilled and hot water systems, balance pumps and coils. 3. Equipment Testing: Verify operation of fans and pumps, measure motor amperage and voltage. 4. System Adjustments: Adjust dampers and valves to meet design flow rates. 5. Sound and Vibration Testing: Measure sound levels and identify excessive vibrations. 6. Documentation and Reporting: Provide pre- and post-balancing reports, certified TAB reports with measured values, system schematics, and test data sheets. Period of Performance The contract will have an initial term of five (5) years with an option for one additional five (5) year extension. Place of Performance All work will be performed on the University of North Dakota Campus. Bidder Requirements Bidders must be Certified TAB contractors with relevant certifications such as NEBB or AABC. They must also comply with North Dakota Secretary of State registration requirements prior to contract award.
