Background This Sources Sought Notice is issued by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 23/Supplies Services Team 1, to conduct market research for small business sources capable of providing Underground Lawn Irrigation Sprinkler System Repair services. The notice is for informational purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation or a commitment to contract. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for repairs to the existing underground lawn irrigation sprinkler system (UGS) at the Grand Island VA Medical Center. The work includes: - Replacing and restoring the UGS in an area of approximately 60’x 115’. - Ensuring 100% head-to-head coverage. - Supplying correct volume to maintain optimal working pressure. - Installing waterline tracing tape over supply lines. - Using parts from current models such as Rainbird, Hunter, Toro, or Orbit. - Providing a new valve box and controller. Upon completion, a drawing of the installed system will be provided, including testing of electronics, valves, and sprinklers. The contractor must also ensure that sprinkler heads do not overshoot sidewalks or parking areas. A one-year parts warranty is required. The contractor must mark underground utilities prior to work and take responsibility for any damage caused during the project. Period of Performance The estimated allowed time for repairs/installation is 45 working days.
