Background The City of Kansas City, Missouri is seeking to contract with a design professional firm for construction observation services as part of Project No. 89061090. The goal of this contract is to ensure that the construction work adheres to the specified designs and standards, thereby fulfilling the City's mission of maintaining quality public works. Work Details The selected design professional will be responsible for the following services: 1. Conducting regular site visits to observe construction activities and ensure compliance with design specifications. 2. Submitting all required documentation including plans, design drawings, specifications, reports, maps, models, and renderings in the format requested by the City. 3. Implementing a Quality Assurance Plan to monitor and evaluate construction quality. 4. Providing a staffing plan that includes key employees committed to the project duration, along with their qualifications and experience. 5. Certifying compliance with local wage laws by ensuring all employees are paid at least $13.75 per hour as per the City’s Quality Services Assurance Act. Period of Performance The contract will commence upon receipt of a written Notice to Proceed from the City and will remain in effect for a period necessary for the completion of services as outlined in the Scope of Services. Place of Performance The services will be performed within the city limits of Kansas City, Missouri. Bidder Requirements This project is designated for Small Local Business Enterprises (SLBE) only; bidders must be registered as SLBE with the City of Kansas City, Missouri to qualify for this contract.
