Background The 20th Contracting Squadron at Shaw Air Force Base, South Carolina, is issuing a Sources Sought Notice to identify potential sources capable of fulfilling the construction needs for the project titled 'B402 Install HVAC Chase Doors'. This project aims to enhance the facility's infrastructure by installing new HVAC chase doors, thereby supporting the operational capabilities of the base. Work Details The scope of work includes the purchase and installation of 40 new hinged HVAC chase doors. The contractor will be responsible for: - Preparing and painting wall openings; - Correcting any damage to gypsum walls; - Ensuring that paint color matches existing walls (Sherwin Williams – WS 7015 Repose Gray); - Installing hinged HVAC chase panels made from 16 gauge cold rolled steel with continuous piano hinges and screwdriver-operated cylinder cam latches; - Ensuring a white powder coat finish. The contractor must take their own measurements prior to ordering the doors and is responsible for any discrepancies between provided measurements and actual field conditions.
