Background The Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) is a Department of Defense entity responsible for research and development, test and evaluation, engineering, and fleet support for the Navy’s ships, submarines, military watercraft, and unmanned vehicles. This contract is specifically for NSWCPD Department 20, which manages machinery programs and platforms. The contractor will provide programmatic support services to assist in the management of these machinery programs. Work Details The contractor shall provide programmatic support services to NSWCPD Department 20 (Machinery Programs and Platforms). Key areas of support include: - Financial management - Risk management - Cyber security coordination - Tracking status of various ongoing initiatives such as Regional Maintenance and Modernization Coordination Office check ins/check outs - Ship change documents - Material management - Travel plans - Deliverables tracking - Action items management - System safety plans - Shipboard testing coordination - Quality assurance issues handling - Naval messages and advisories processing - Engineering change proposals management - Health and status of program-related contracts monitoring - Schedule and dashboard development and maintenance assistance - Data call support provision - Meeting support coordination. The contractor will also be responsible for program planning and coordination among government and commercial activities; assisting in scheduling and attending periodic program reviews; supporting program-related data calls; tracking contract status; coordinating meetings; generating meeting briefs; providing financial management support including tracking program financials at various levels. Period of Performance The anticipated period of performance spans 5 years with a 12-month base period followed by four (4) 12-month option periods beginning at the time of award. Place of Performance The contract will primarily be performed at NSWCPD Program Field Offices and aboard ships located in Washington DC; Bath ME; Norfolk VA; Mayport FL; San Diego CA; Jacksonville FL; Everett WA; Seattle WA; Portland OR; Bremerton WA; Pascagoula MS; Ingleside TX; Sasebo Japan; Pearl Harbor HI; Yokosuka Japan; Devesulu Romania; Redzikowo Poland; Guam.
