This notice is for informational purposes only. The 127th Wing intends to award a single source contract to ABM Federal for Managed Printer Service and Supplies under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 (a) (iii). The strategic rationale for this decision is grounded in maintaining network integrity, capitalizing on the existing operational expertise with our devices and locations, and leveraging an in-depth understanding of our logistical needs. Furthermore, this path avoids the significant financial and operational overhead associated with duplicative onboarding and setup procedures. This notice is not a request for offers and a competitive solicitation will not be issued. A Request for Quote will be issued to ABM Federal, with an anticipated award date on or about March 1st. This is not a request for capability statements, but the Government will consider all information submitted in response to this notice. A determination by the Government to not compete this requirement based on responses received is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement or to proceed with award to a single source.

Summary (Newest Update)

Background The 127th Wing intends to award a single source contract to ABM Federal for Managed Printer Service and Supplies. This decision is based on the need to maintain network integrity, leverage existing operational expertise, and avoid financial and operational overhead associated with onboarding new vendors. The contract aims to ensure continuity in service and support for the printers and multifunction devices currently in use. Work Details The contract encompasses the following tasks and services: 1. Maintenance of printers and multifunction devices currently leased from ABM Federal, which the 127th Wing intends to purchase after assessing their remaining life cycle. 2. Provision of supplies necessary for the operation of these devices. 3. Utilization of technicians from ABM Federal who are already familiar with the equipment and operational needs of the 127th Wing, ensuring minimal disruption in service. 4. Management of over 40 buildings where these devices are located, with accurate knowledge of each device's location maintained by ABM Federal. Transitioning to a new vendor would introduce unnecessary risks and costs due to re-inventory and onboarding requirements. Place of Performance The services will be performed across more than 40 buildings utilized by the 127th Wing.
