Weitz/Journey, A Joint Venture, is seeking Statement of Qualifications for the construction of the Sioux Falls Regional Airport Terminal Concourse Expansion Phase 1 Project. This project involves site improvements and the construction of a new approximately 30,000 square foot two-story building addition to the existing terminal located at Sioux Falls Regional Airport, 2801 Jaycee Lane, Sioux Falls, South Dakota 57104. Interested parties must submit their Statement of Qualifications Preapproval Forms by 2:00 PM on January 29, 2026. Late submissions will not be accepted. All forms must be submitted electronically via the Building Connected website. To gain access, contact Brett Smith at brett.smith@weitzjourney.com and specify the work package(s) you wish to prequalify for. Only contractors who meet or exceed the minimum scoring criteria will be considered approved bidders for the project. The work scope packages for which preapproval forms are accepted include Rough & Finish Carpentry, Casework, Millwork & Countertops, Ceramic Tile, Acoustical and Wood Ceilings, Carpet & Resilient Flooring, Terrazzo, Painting and Wall Coverings, Building Specialties Vendor, Signage, Metal Panel Artwork, and Site Concrete. An informational session regarding the Statement of Qualifications Preapproval Manual will take place virtually on January 15, 2026, at 11:30 AM. Plan Room Review Locations include Aberdeen, SD; Rapids City, SD; Fargo, ND; Lincoln, NE; Sioux Falls, SD; Des Moines, IA; and Minneapolis, MN. All submissions must be uploaded to the Building Connected website. Requests for submission withdrawal can be made in writing prior to submission. The Construction Manager and/or Owner will evaluate submissions based on objective criteria, and only those meeting the minimum standards will be approved. All questions must be submitted electronically via Building Connected by 12:00 PM on January 23, 2026, with responses published by January 27, 2026.
