Work Details The contractor will perform conservation work as outlined in the Statements of Work identified in Attachment D. This includes: 1. Providing digital images of conserved items at a minimum resolution of 300 dpi. 2. Maintaining a qualified staff that adheres to the standards set by the American Institute for Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works (AIC). 3. Specific tasks include: - Removal of degraded laminate materials and pressure-sensitive tape. - Repairing 18th and 19th-century leather bindings, including re-sewing, re-backing, and rebinding. - Surface cleaning, mending pages, filling voids, and deacidifying materials. - Encapsulation for extremely brittle materials as determined by the Clerk or Library of Virginia staff. 4. All work must be inspected by Library of Virginia staff before returning items to ensure quality control. Period of Performance The contract period extends from the date of award through the completion of the project. Place of Performance The services will be performed at the Hanover County Circuit Court located at 7530 County Complex Road, Hanover, VA 23069. Bidder Requirements Bidders must maintain a qualified staff with AIC membership and adhere to their Code of Ethics. They must also provide documentation of staff qualifications upon request. The contractor must secure all necessary permits and licenses for execution and completion of work. Additionally, bidders are required to register with eVA (Virginia's electronic procurement system) to participate in government purchasing activities.
