Background The City-County of Butte-Silver Bow (BSB) is soliciting sealed proposals from qualified vendors to establish a contract through competitive negotiation for the purchase, professional installation, configuration, and implementation of a turnkey Fire Station Alerting System (FSAS). The selected solution must integrate with Motorola Solutions FLEX CAD and support the operational needs of the Butte-Silver Bow Fire Department (BSBFD), which maintains 2 career stations and 9 volunteer stations. The goal is to enhance turnout times, improve firefighter health and wellness, streamline communications, and support future growth. Work Details The contractor will provide a fully NFPA-compliant fire station alerting system that includes: - Rapid simultaneous alerting - Automated voice dispatch with TTS backup - Zoned alerting capabilities - Red LED bunkroom lighting for nighttime response - Integration with Motorola FLEX CAD - Redundant radio alerting capabilities - Remote/mobile alerting to personnel - Full centralized configuration and monitoring capabilities. The system will communicate via TCP/IP over BSB's Wide Area Network (WAN) using POE-based low-voltage cabling. It must be designed for mission-critical fire/EMS alerting and future scalability. The contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, equipment, and materials necessary for a complete turnkey installation compliant with applicable national, state, and local codes. Period of Performance The contract work is expected to commence upon award and must be completed within a timeframe specified in the proposal submission by January 27th, 2026. Place of Performance The services will be performed at various locations within the City-County of Butte-Silver Bow, Montana.
