Background The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is an agency within the Texas Health and Human Services (HHS) system. The Procurement and Contracting Services (PCS) division of HHSC administers Invitations for Bids (IFBs) for HHS. HHSC PCS is seeking competitive bids to establish contract(s) for concrete construction services and delivery at Vernon State Hospital, Vernon, TX. Both HHS Agencies, HHSC and DSHS, will be entitled to use any contract awarded as a result of this IFB. Work Details The required services include large and small concrete jobs at Vernon State Hospital. The Contractor shall provide large concrete construction services including road areas, large slab jobs, ramps, patios, and new sidewalks. Small jobs include sidewalk repairs, small slab work, potholes, and concrete repairs. The Contractor must be located no more than 50 miles from the service/delivery location. Services will be performed on an 'on call, as needed' basis throughout the fiscal year. Period of Performance The anticipated contract start date is upon award of the contract. Services will be performed Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. (Central Time). Place of Performance Vernon State Hospital, 4730 College Drive, Vernon, TX 76384. Bidder Requirements Bidders must have a minimum of two years relevant experience in concrete construction services. Personnel assigned to perform the services must also have at least two years relevant experience. Bidders must provide a minimum of three verifiable references for current or previous contracts of similar size and scope within the last two years.
