Background

The Department of Veteran Affairs, National Cemetery Administration intends to award an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for the procurement of turf fertilizer and herbicide application services at Fayetteville National Cemetery in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The mission of the National Cemetery Administration is to honor veterans with a final resting place and lasting memorials that commemorate their service. The standards of maintenance and operational procedures performed by the Contractor must reflect the nation's concern for those interred there. Work Details: The Contractor shall provide all professional advice/guidance, labor, supervision, management, tools, materials, equipment, facilities, transportation, and other items necessary to deliver a complete fertilizer and herbicide application program for ornamental turf at Fayetteville National Cemetery. Services include: 1. Fertilizer applications based on soil test results. 2. Herbicide applications for broadleaf and grassy weeds in improved turf areas. 3. Maintenance of improved turf to ensure it remains visually appealing and safe for visitors. 4. Compliance with NCA Operational Standards & Measures. 5. Submission of various reports including Pesticide and Fertilizer Application Plan, Work Summary Reports, and records of chemical applications. 6. Ensuring that all work does not interfere with cemetery activities such as burials or ceremonies. Period of Performance: The period of performance consists of a base period of approximately twelve (12) months with four (4) one-year option periods if exercised. Place of Performance: Fayetteville National Cemetery, 1000 S. Lt. Col. Leroy Pond Avenue, Fayetteville, AR 72701.
