Background

The Richardson Independent School District (RISD) is located in northern Dallas County, Texas, serving nearly 37,000 students across various educational institutions. The district aims to establish contracts with multiple vendors to facilitate the legal acquisition of various commodities through the Commodity Discount Providers RFP #25-361. This initiative is designed to meet the diverse needs of the district effectively.

Work Details

The contract will involve providing a wide range of supplies, services, and equipment across various categories including but not limited to: - Art Supplies & Equipment - Athletic Supplies & Equipment - Audio Visual Supplies & Equipment - Auto/Bus/Trailer Parts & Supplies - Awards/Trophies - Building Materials/Carpentry Supplies & Equipment - Career and Technology (CTE) Supplies & Equipment

Catering Services

- Cheer/Dance Supplies & Equipment - Custodial Supplies & Equipment - Electrical & Lighting Supplies & Equipment

Fencing Supplies

- Fertilizer & Pest Management - Fine Art/Instruments Supplies & Repairs - Flooring Supplies & Equipment - Gardening Supplies (plants, flowers, mulch) - Glass Materials & Installation

Golf Carts and Accessories

- Grounds Supplies & Equipment - Health/PE Supplies & Equipment - Household/Commercial Appliances (non-Child Nutrition) - HVAC Supplies & Equipment. Vendors must provide a primary discount from their published price list for these commodities.

Period of Performance

The contract term will begin upon formal approval by the RISD Board of Trustees and will end according to the specific commodity awarded. If no existing bid award aligns with the selected commodity, the contract end date shall be June 30, 2028. Discounts must remain firm for one year following the award date.

Place of Performance

The services and products will be delivered to various locations within the Richardson Independent School District in Texas.

Bidder Requirements

Vendors must comply with specific certifications including but not limited to: Certification Regarding Terrorist Organizations; Certification Regarding Boycotting of Israel; Certification Regarding Contracting Information; and others as applicable based on contract value and nature. Vendors are also required to submit a Conflict of Interest Questionnaire as per Chapter 176 of the Texas Local Government Code.
